The lamp example is an excellent one and more in keeping with Baha'u'llah's description of His laws as lamps of guidance. I like the blindfold metaphor too because sometimes your eyes adjust to the dark and you begin to discern things, but I often feel that without God's laws, I would be completely in the dark, and am not sure if that eventual discernment would ever come. Always is, to read how others apply the Writings to the world around us. A small suggestion though, would it not make more sense if, instead of one person being blindfolded, it were dark in the maze, and one person has a lamp (laws) and the other doesn't have a lamp?
