I live in Huntsville, Ontario, Canada, the site of next year's G8. It's a town of less than 20,000 people, and over $50 million dollars is pouring into town for new infrastructure to get it ready for the visit of the world leaders (can you believe it?!) One of the buildings will be a new university campus.

Originally the town council decided it would be put on land donated in honor of the WW1 Veterans, so as you can imagine, the town was divided, and lawsuits threatened. Just this week, I had the bounty of attending a town hall meeting, which I thought was going to be very confrontational, but the town used the meeting to announce that they had heard the concerns and had changed the location.

What was exciting to me, was the rep from the university, coining a term I'd never heard before: multi-logue (as opposed to dialogue). Of course, Baha'is would call it consultation.

One community member got up and said we were witnessing something very new in the way the town and industry were working together to make sure it was a win-win-win-win - and it was! Tears were pouring down my face as I recognized Baha'u'llah's New World Order in action and prayed to God, that the miniscule efforts of our burned out Assembly, might have had an effect on the town after all.
